Release Notes v6.6.8

Below are all of the release notes for version 6.6.8 of ServiceMonster:


Released: December 6th, 2022


  • Updated UI for Line Items Editor and creating new Products/Services directly on the Order screen
  • Added zebra/candy stripe warning elements to appointments and activities on Schedule v2.0 if no technicians are currently assigned to that activity or appointment. Also added a schedule display setting to toggle this feature on or off if desired
  • Updated the Quick Add Summary to be a collapsible toast message that users can then re-expand (or close) if needed. Summary collapses to the bottom of the screen after 3 seconds initially, and then after the user has moved their cursor out of the summary area if re-expanded
  • Updated verbiage for Marketing Templates to better explain between creating an email template or a printed word document template (for mailing purposes)


  • Fixed a bug where exporting a filtered grid list was showing the entire grid and not just the filtered data
  • Appointment details now properly immediately reflect changes after being dragged from “On Deck” tab rather than needing to be refreshed
  • Fixed an issue where some drop-downs throughout the app were shorter than expected and required additional scrolling
  • Creating a “New Account” from the “Select Account” dialog (from the order screen) will now auto-select that newly created account rather than forcing the user to select the account from the list and click "OK"
  • Delete button for each line item is properly hidden on invoices (can only be deleted within the completion wizard or in estimate/work order state)
  • Appointment sidecar on Schedule v2.0 call and text buttons are now muted if not interactable to better indicate that they cannot be opened
  • Grid timestamps have been updated in several places so that the hover text shows the correct time
  • Resolved an issue where some users were not receiving invoice payment notification or declined order approval emails
  • Opportunities in the Kanban view now show the correct due date
  • Voided orders now properly display as such on the schedule if a past appointment is now attached to a voided order
  • Fixed a UI issue for recurring appointment reminders on the schedule so that the top of the card remains the same whether details are turned on or off
  • Fixed an issue where some users were not generating their contracts for some of their accounts

  • Fixed an issue where the line item description on an order was not expanding in height when large descriptions were entered
  • Adding multi-component tax rates now requires a name to be filled in as well as the tax rate before a save is allowed
  • Fixed a formatting issue on the appointment cardhover popup on Schedule v2.0
  • Hid the lightning bolt description button online items when user is in the batch link mode
  • Employee appointment notification emails now go through the ServiceMonster default email pipeline even when user has custom smtp settings setup to avoid being rejected for “spoofing” since they are system emails being sent from ServiceMonster directly either way

  • Fixed an issue where Tab or Shift+Tab keyboard shortcut was not properly navigating through the order line item input fields
  • Address line 2 of the customer’s service site now properly shows on the Order Approval form


Released: December 15th, 2022


  • Fixed an issue in the Completion Wizard's line item editor UI where any data within the Product/Service field would be cleared out upon pressing Tab
  • Fixed an issue where appointments created via API were not properly auto-creating appointment notifications when the auto-create setting was enabled
